A high-level delegation from a US-based fintech company visited Pakistan on Wednesday, reflecting growing international interest in the country’s evolving economic and digital finance landscape.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a delegation from World Liberty Financial called on Chief of Defence Forces and army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir in Rawalpindi. The visiting delegation was led by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Zachary Witkoff.
Focus on fintech, investment, digital finance
ISPR said the meeting centred on Pakistan’s changing economic landscape, with discussions covering international private investment and cross-border digital finance opportunities.
The engagement highlighted increasing global confidence in Pakistan’s fintech sector and the country’s potential to strengthen financial inclusion through modern digital financial systems.
During the meeting, Witkoff acknowledged Pakistan’s immense economic potential and praised the country’s leadership for embracing futuristic technologies.
He said Pakistan is making serious efforts toward economic development aligned with future requirements, particularly in the fintech and digital finance domains.
Commitment to investor confidence
Field Marshal Munir welcomed the exchange of views and reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to strengthen economic stability and investor confidence.
He emphasized that Pakistan is committed to creating an enabling environment for responsible private sector participation in national development and long-term economic progress.
