A 73-year-old resident of Michigan, whose identity has not been disclosed, has won millions of dollars in the lottery after playing the same set of numbers for 20 years.
The man revealed that he has been playing Lotto 47 for two decades, always using the numbers 02-03-12-15-16-33.
These numbers were on the ticket purchased for the December 13 drawing, which resulted in the largest prize in Lotto 47 history: $3.29 million.
He said that when he first checked the ticket and saw three numbers match, he thought he would at least win $5. When he saw the remaining numbers match as well, he rubbed his eyes and checked the ticket again, unable to believe what he was seeing.
He added that he called his children to share the news, but even they were initially in disbelief.
