The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned what it described as interventionist and misleading statements by the United States, accusing Washington of fueling instability and waging an all-out economic and financial war against the Iranian nation.
In an official statement on Iran’s current internal situation, the Foreign Ministry said the latest US comments are a continuation of Washington’s long-standing hostility toward Iran. It stressed that such statements are not made in sympathy with the Iranian people, but rather constitute direct interference in Iran’s internal affairs.
According to the ministry, the real objective of these remarks is to incite violence and expose the country to discord, insecurity, and instability.
Iran acknowledges peaceful protests
The Iranian Foreign Ministry clarified that Iran recognizes the right to peaceful protests in line with its constitution. It said the government is leaving no stone unturned to address the legitimate demands of the people through lawful and institutional means.

At the same time, it rejected any attempt by external actors to exploit internal issues for political ends.
Hardships blamed on US sanctions
The statement said a large part of Iran’s economic difficulties stems from the comprehensive economic and financial sanctions imposed by the United States. Tehran accused Washington of not only waging an economic war, but also conducting a coordinated campaign targeting Iran’s stability.
Iran urged the international community to take serious note of US sanctions, saying they directly affect human rights, livelihoods, and the daily lives of ordinary citizens.
Call for respect for sovereignty
The Foreign Ministry demanded that the United States respect Iran’s sovereignty and refrain from interfering in its domestic affairs. It emphasized that Iran has repeatedly demonstrated its resolve to resist external pressure and interference.
According to the statement, the Iranian nation will not allow US policies to undermine its sovereignty, freedom, or dignity.
Concluding the statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the nation has consistently stood firm against foreign intervention and will continue to do so. It reiterated that pressure tactics and hostile rhetoric would not weaken Iran’s resolve or force it to abandon its independence.

Earlier on Friday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also launched a scathing attack on US President Donald Trump, accusing him of having “blood on his hands” amid protests in Iran.
In a strongly worded address, Ayatollah Khamenei accused Donald Trump of responsibility for the deaths of more than a thousand Iranians during what he described as a “twelve-day war.” He said those killed included ordinary citizens, alongside commanders, scientists, and senior figures.
Khamenei pointed to Trump’s own remarks about having “given the order” during the conflict, claiming this amounted to an admission of guilt. “He says he supports the Iranian nation, yet his hands are stained with the blood of Iranians,” Khamenei said, dismissing such claims as deceptive.
