Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Liu Haisheng, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, to discuss regional developments, Pakistan-China relations, and CPEC projects.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 7th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue.
During the meeting, Ishaq Dar congratulated Liu Haisheng on the successful Fourth Plenum of the 20th Session of the CPC Central Committee.
The two leaders reviewed the steady trajectory of Pakistan-China relations, including ongoing party-to-party exchanges and cooperation on key initiatives under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

It was agreed to organize joint events to mark the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations. Both sides emphasized the importance of celebrating the milestone in a befitting and meaningful manner, reflecting the deep and long-standing partnership between the two countries.
Regional situation discussed
The meeting also covered the latest developments in the regional situation. Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan’s perspectives on security and stability in the region, while the Chinese side reiterated its support for strengthened cooperation.
Strategic dialogue
Ishaq Dar is in China to co-chair the 7th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue, aimed at enhancing coordination on political, economic, and security matters.
Earlier, he held telephonic discussions with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focusing on recent regional developments.
