The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that cold conditions will persist across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours.
According to the weather assessment, severe cold is likely in the hilly areas. Rain and light snowfall are expected at some locations in Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.
Rainfall and light snowfall over the hills are also possible at a few places in northern and western Balochistan. Smog and fog are likely to prevail in the plains of Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The weather assessment indicates that rain and snowfall are expected in various parts of Balochistan from December 14 to 15. Drizzle and light rain are likely in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Peshawar, with light rain and snowfall possible in Murree. Another spell of westerly winds may enter the country from December 19.
