Indian actress and Bigg Boss contestant Shahnaz Gill has expressed deep admiration for Pakistan’s legendary Qawwal Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, saying his singing makes her feel spiritually connected to God.
Her comments came during a recent podcast where she discussed her favourite artists and musical influences
During the podcast, Shahnaz Gill openly shared her thoughts on various personal and professional topics. When asked about her favourite singers, she named Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan as her all-time favourite.
She praised the late maestro’s extraordinary vocal ability, saying no other artist possesses a voice or singing style like his.
‘His level is something else’
Shahnaz described Nusrat’s performances as deeply emotional and powerful. According to her, “When Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sings, his level is something else. His singing is very deep.”

The actress also spoke about Nusrat’s magnetic personality, saying that meeting him would naturally inspire humility.
She said that if someone were to meet him in person, “both their hands would automatically fold, and they would stand before him with respect.”
Shahnaz Gill said that listening to Nusrat’s Qawwalis gives her a sense of spiritual connection, describing the experience as “feeling connected to God.”
She called him the most unique artist, adding that no one else can create music like his.
