Bollywood actor Kajol’s unique take on marriage has sparked netizens’ harsh response with many calling her remarks regrettable.
Kajol suggested that weddings should have a set ‘expiry date’ and an option for renewal.
Kajol and Twinke Khanna are hosting a new talkshow and they invited Kriti Senon and Vicky Kushal in their show.
When her co-host asked question of marriages, Kajol promptly responded herself that they should have an expiry date and couples should have the option to change partners if necessary.
Her candid remarks elicited laughter from the hosts and guests. Khanna humorously responded, saying, “Then marriage would become like a washing machine - you can change it whenever you want.”
After her remarks, Kajol had to take the heat from the online community who said marriage is a lifelong relationship and people cannot change their partners whenever they feel necessary.
In an earlier interview, Kajol humorously revealed her secret to a lasting marriage – ‘partial deafness and selective amnesia’.
