A nationwide campaign to protect children against measles and rubella will be conducted across Khuzdar District, Balochistan, from November 17 to 29.
According to the Health Department, all children aged between six months and five years will receive free vaccinations against measles and rubella. In addition, children will be administered oral polio drops to safeguard them from lifelong disability.
In Khuzdar District, the campaign aims to vaccinate 150,256 children. To achieve this target, 227 teams will operate across 49 union councils.
The Health Department stated that children who have previously been vaccinated against measles and rubella should also receive the vaccine again during this national campaign to further strengthen their immunity.
Authorities have appealed to the public to cooperate fully so that children can be protected from measles, rubella and polio, all of which remain dangerous communicable diseases.
