He went on to admit that it was not his place to pass such judgments: “I have no right to decide who goes to Jannat or Jahannum — that’s Allah’s job. It was important for me to correct myself because I influence many young people, and I don’t want to send out a wrong message regarding Deen.”
Fans praise humility, others mock U-turn
Zahid’s apology drew mixed reactions across social media. Many fans commended him for showing humility and maturity, with one user commenting, “It takes real courage to accept your mistake publicly. Respect to Zahid for being honest.”
Several followers described him as a “great person” for owning up to his words and setting an example for others in the entertainment industry.

However, others mocked the actor, joking that “his software has been updated”, implying that he changed his stance only after realizing the backlash. Some users accused him of trying to save face, while others criticized both Zahid Ahmed and social media influencers, saying that neither side is setting a good example for the youth.
