In a heartfelt post on the social media platform, he remembered his father as his “Iron Man” and asked followers to keep the family in their prayers.

Heartfelt goodbye

The singer posted a touching photograph showing him kissing his father, alongside a deeply personal caption. He began with the Quranic verse, “إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ” (Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return), followed by:

“A final goodbye to my Iron Man.
Rest in love, Abu g 💚
Keep us in your prayers.”

Following the post, messages of sympathy poured in from fans, fellow artists, and public figures. Many expressed their sorrow and offered prayers for the departed soul, acknowledging the deep bond between the singer and his late father.

Earlier today, Atif Aslam's father, Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam, passed away after a prolonged illness. Aslam had been unwell for an extended period before his demise.

The funeral prayers were offered later in the evening in Valencia Town, Lahore. Relatives, friends, and well-wishers attended to pay their respects and offer condolences. However, the media was barred from coverage.

Atif was scheduled to perform at a concert organized in collaboration with the Punjab government today. However, he cancelled the event due to his father's death.
