Pakistan's Muhammad Hasnain Akhtar has defeated Welsh player Riley Powell 4–0 to claim the IBSF World U17 Snooker Championship title in Bahrain.
According to details surfaced on Friday, the tournament featured 32 players from 14 countries.
Following Hasnain's success, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi congratulated the former on his victory, describing the win as a demonstration of skill and a source of national pride.
He said that Hasnain’s success proves the hard work and capability of Pakistani youth and expressed hope for further achievements.
Moreover, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has also extended his congratulations, praising Hasnain Akhtar for bringing glory to Pakistan at the global level.
CM Murad has attributed the success to determination, dedication and hard work and affirmed the government’s commitment to promoting sports. He described young talents like Hasnain as a valuable asset and a source of pride for the country.
