Popular Pakistani television actress Komal Meer, known for her roles in hit serials like Ehd-e-Wafa, Wehshi, and Ae Dil, is currently enjoying a holiday in Turkey.
While sharing picturesque glimpses from her trip on social media, she unintentionally stirred a wave of online criticism over her outfit choice.
Komal posted photos from her visit to a mosque in Istanbul, where she respectfully wore a headscarf. However, her sleeveless, chocolate-brown Co-Ord set drew attention — and not in the way she might have hoped. Despite her effort to cover her head at a religious site, fans took to social media to question the contrast between her modest gesture and modern outfit.
One user commented, “She wore a scarf, but what’s the use of it when she’s wearing a Western outfit?” Another remarked, “She wore a scarf for Allah but modern dress for others.” Several users drew comparisons to actress Hania Aamir, with one saying, “Don’t try to copy Hania Aamir — such stupid acts suit her more.” Another wrote, “Seems like Hania Aamir’s shop is about to close.”

Despite the backlash, Komal has not publicly responded to the criticism. The actress remains one of the rising stars of the Pakistani entertainment industry, with a growing fan base that admires her talent and charm.
