Pakistani security forces have shot down four more Indian drones attempting to enter Pakistani airspace, bringing today's total to seven downed unmanned aircraft, according to security sources.
The latest interceptions occurred in the Phuklian and Sialkot sectors, where security forces successfully neutralized the intruding aircraft. Security officials stated that the drones were attempting unauthorized entry into Pakistani territory.
Thanks to advanced defensive and electronic warfare capabilities, Pakistani forces were also able to capture two Indian drones intact, providing valuable intelligence on their opponent's aerial technology.
Earlier in the day, three additional Indian drones had been shot down in the Barnala, Shakargarh, and Kotli sectors, demonstrating what officials describe as a coordinated attempt at aerial incursion along multiple points of the border.
Security sources confirmed that among the seven downed aircraft was an armed Heron drone, representing a significant escalation in the ongoing border tensions.
This incident follows earlier reports that Pakistan had responded forcefully to Indian missile attacks and incursion attempts by downing five aircraft, including three Rafale fighter jets, and seven drones.
"The Pakistan Army continues to respond effectively to every act of aggression by the enemy," a security spokesperson stated.
