In the aftermath of the incident in Pahalgam, the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir administration has transferred six police officers in Anantnag district, raising serious questions about local preparedness and intelligence coordination.
According to an official order, Inspector Reyaz Ahmad has been transferred from Pahalgam Police Station and attached to the ASP Camp in Aishmuqam for further duties.
Opposition parties in India have slammed the Modi-led government for what they termed as a "massive security failure" and "intelligence lapse" in one of the region’s most sensitive tourist zones.

Pakistan also strongly criticized the Indian authorities, stating that the incident highlights New Delhi’s inability to protect civilians even in militarized zones like Pahalgam.
The decision to transfer officers near the attack site is being seen as an administrative response to mounting criticism and calls for accountability.
However, security experts have demanded a full inquiry into the lapses that led to the ‘attack’.
