Pakistani boxer Shahir Afridi secured a victory in an international boxing match held in Bangkok by defeating his Indian opponent, Tarjot Singh, in a thrilling bout that ended in the fourth round.
Shahir forced a technical knockout (TKO) in the fourth round, leaving no room for doubt about his dominance in the ring.
Among the first to congratulate Afridi was Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani, who hailed the win as a triumph not just for the boxer but for the entire country.
"Shahir Afridi's success is actually the success of the entire Pakistani nation," said Ghani. He added that Afridi has "made the whole country proud by defeating the Indian boxer" and referred to the win as a symbolic response to ongoing Indian aggression.
Following his victory, the boxer tweeted on his X account that he dedicated his win to the martyrs of Pakistan armed forces, and also thanked his "sponsors", including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and cricketing hero Shahid Afridi.

"Today in Bangkok, I won my 18th pro boxing fight by knocking out my Indian opp in Round 4. I dedicate this victory to the brave martyrs of the Pakistan Armed Forces and thank my sponsors, especially Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Shahid Afridi, for their support," he posted.
