Former Indian Congress Minister Saifuddin Soz has exposed India's claims regarding blocking Pakistan's water supply, according to sources. His statements come amid escalating tensions following what Pakistan has termed the "Pahalgam false flag operation."
Soz emphasized that "Water is a lifeline for Pakistan as it is used for agriculture and drinking purposes." He warned that any attempt to divert Pakistan's water would have severe consequences, stating, "If attempts are made to divert Pakistan's water, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir will be completely submerged."
The former minister further cautioned that "Violation of the Sindh Taas Water Agreement would result in open war between India and Pakistan." He noted that "The international community is closely monitoring Pakistan's situation."
Soz also supported Pakistan's position that "Pakistan is not involved in the Pahalgam attack, which is a conspiracy by the Modi government."
His statements directly challenge the narrative being pushed by certain elements within India and highlight the dangerous implications of water disputes between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
