Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided not to become a party to the Supreme Court's review proceedings regarding the reserved seats case. The decision was taken during a late-night joint meeting of the party’s core and political committees.
Party sources said the committees also discussed plans for a protest on May 9, agreeing to finalize the protest strategy based on a consensus, whether at the district, provincial, or parliamentary level.
Members of both committees shared their views on the new Supreme Court bench formed to hear the matter of women's reserved seats. Following deliberations, PTI concluded it would not participate in the ongoing legal proceedings.
The committees also reviewed the evolving regional situation, particularly the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India.
