Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is set to appear before the Islamabad High Court and the accountability court to surrender in multiple cases against him.
The accountability court had suspended Nawaz’s arrest warrants in the Toshakhana reference till today.
Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer also filed three separate appeals with the court, including seeking restoration of his property seized in the Toshakhana reference. Another request was filed for appointing a pleader in the case, while a third application was filed for submitting bail bonds in court.
Qazi Misbahul Hasan filed the three applications on behalf of Nawaz Sharif.
PPP leader and former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani reached the court on Tuesday morning, as he was also nominated in the same Toshakhana case besides Nawaz and former president Asif Zardari.
Gilani marked his attendance in the court and left.

On the other hand, PPP leader Asif Zardari's application for exemption from appearance in the Toshakhana case was also filed by senior counsel Farooq H. Naik.
Announcing his reserved verdict, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir had remarked that if Nawaz Sharif did not appear in court on October 24, the arrest warrants will be restored.
The NAB prosecutor had also not opposed the bail plea and stated that if Nawaz Sharif wants to appear in court, the warrant should be suspended because the purpose of issuing a warrant is to ensure a person’s appearance in court.
PML-N leaders Nasir Butt and Nehal Hashmi reached the accountability court early morning. Hashmi said the party did not believe in revenge and that there should be justice. He added that the courts and chief justice were there to ensure justice.
Over in the high court, the PML-N supremo's application for the restoration of appeals against his sentence in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield references will be taken up today by a division bench.
A division bench of the Islamabad High Court had on Thursday granted protective bail to Nawaz till October 24.

The bench comprising IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb had announced the decision they had reserved a day earlier.
The court had also stopped the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting him till October 24.
