The excitement surrounding iOS 19 continues to grow as Jon Prosser, the YouTuber and tech leaker, recently shared more images from what he claims is an internal build of Apple’s next iOS update.

The leaked images provide a sneak peek at some of the changes users can expect, including revamped app icons, floating bars, and a more immersive user interface inspired by visionOS.

Redesigned icons

According to Prosser, iOS 19 will feature new app icons with a shape that falls between the current design and a perfect circle, offering a more rounded appearance. This change will likely make the icons look fresher, although they won't be as circular as those found in visionOS or watchOS. Users can also expect an overhaul of the system’s Tab View within apps, which will now resemble the floating tab style found in visionOS.

In addition to the new shapes, users will notice a more three-dimensional interface, with elements that shimmer and shadow when the device is moved, giving a sense of depth to the screen.

New floating bars

Another significant change involves the floating bars in apps like Music and the App Store, where users will interact with a new interface for the Search tab. Similarly, in the Messages app, the search field will now appear at the bottom of the screen, offering a more streamlined design.

Fresh redesign

While these changes may not be as drastic as some users had anticipated, they represent a fresh and polished look for iOS 19. For example, the Settings app will receive subtle updates, including wider spacing between list items and the addition of shadows to the interface.

New camera app

Prosser has also teased a new Camera app concept for the iPhone, showing floating buttons on the screen, a feature that could introduce a new way of interacting with the device. This rumor has been further supported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, who referred to iOS 19 and macOS 16 as offering the “most significant upgrade” to Apple’s interface in years.
