The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has achieved remarkable success in its battle against drugs, destroying a total of 18 tons of narcotics during its annual drug disposal ceremony.
In addition to the destruction of drugs, the drug court had passed sentences on 69 individuals, awarding them life imprisonment, while 238 others received various other punishments.
Addressing the gathering at the event, a representative of ANF highlighted the ongoing commitment to combating drug-related crimes and emphasised the importance of awareness programs in tackling the issue.
The force had also conducted nearly 1,000 awareness programmes as part of its ongoing efforts to educate the public on the dangers of narcotics.
