National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said on Saturday that it was up to government to ensure a meeting between the negotiation committee [PTI] and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Expressing his thoughts, Sadiq stated, "I will convene the negotiation committee meeting when asked to do so. Neither the government nor the opposition has contacted me to convene the meeting of the negotiation committees."
Sadiq said, "I had told Asad Qaiser on January 4 that the government was informed about the PTI's demand to meet with Imran Khan."
"The PTI leaders can directly hold talks with Rana Sanaullah or other government members," he maintained.

Separately, PTI senior leader Asad Qaiser claimed on Saturday that Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz were looking to sabotage talks with the party [PTI].
Expressing his thoughts in Swabi, the former National Assembly speaker said, “The government is having different claims about the negotiations. It has been said the PTI founder is tweeting. We are the party that subjected to injustice.”
