Hassan Abdal Police have recovered PTI's founder lawyer Intar Hussain Panjotha during a police encounter.
According to Intar Panjotha, the kidnappers had abducted him from Islamabad on October 8 for ransom.
According to the police spokesperson, when the police tried to stop the suspicious vehicle in Burhan Naka last night, the accused opened fire on the police.

In the retaliatory action of the police, the accused fled leaving the hostage with the car.
A case of the incident has been registered in Sadar Hasan Abdal police station.
According to the FIR text, Intizar Hussain Panjotha was abducted from Club Road Islamabad when he was returning from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Intizar Panjotha told the police that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs20 million from his family.
The kidnappers were taking Intizar Hussain Panjotha to Peshawar when the police encountered the vehicle and rescued him.
