Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that the incumbent government was "not having the mandate to approve the constitutional package.”

Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV following the parliament sessions were postponed, Khan said: “In the in-camera briefing, all the things cannot be discussed. You [government] are not having the mandate pertaining to the judiciary. We want to hold talks on this.”

Khan stated: “We are having the question that on which topic do we have to discuss? What else do we talk with you [the government] without the constitutional amendment draft?”

“The special committee was constituted following the event that transpired on September 10,” said Khan.

“We demand the government to provide us with the draft,” the PTI chairman maintained.

– PTI looks for ‘breakthrough’ –

Earlier, Barrister Gohar said on Sunday that his party was still looking for "breakthrough" in line with putting the government to the test pertaining to the constitutional amendment.

Expressing his thoughts, Khan said: “There is nothing in the politics that is decisive. We are hopeful that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will stand by our side.”.

“We will continue to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman,” said Khan.
