The water supply to the largest city of the country Karachi has been resumed after remaining suspended from the Dhabeji pumping station due to a massive power breakdown.

The supply time remained suspended for 45 minutes.

Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB) spokesperson said all pumps of the Dhabeji pumping station have stopped working due to the power breakdown.

The water supply to the largest city of Pakistan has been suspended temporarily.

Dhabeji Pumping Station was installed in one of the most densely populated cities in the world.

The Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation is a service based consumer oriented organization responsible for the production, transmission, and distribution of potable water to the citizen of Karachi, managing the sewerage system within the city to ensure a hygienic environment, development scheme to cover short falls in services and collection of revenues for sustained economic viability.

Water is being supplied to Karachi from a considerably distant located water source through a bulk conveyance system comprising of a complex network of canals, conduits, siphons, multi-stage pumping and filtration.
