The Inter-Provincial Coordination Ministry has denied reports claiming that Arshad Nadeem did not receive financial support during his training.
In a statement accompanied by statistics, the ministry asserted that throughout Arshad Nadeem's career, the government has provided him with full financial and technical support.
"Pakistan Sports Board and the Athletics Federation made all the arrangements for his training, and the administration supported the athlete both within and outside the country," the statement reads.
The ministry further claimed that in the last three years alone, Arshad Nadeem was awarded cash prizes totaling Rs 22 million.
Additionally, the statement mentioned that Rs690 million has been allocated to the Athletics Federation for the financial year 2023-24.
