Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli - known for his flamboyant batting style and childhood friendship with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar - has once again become a topic of concern after a video surfaced on social media.

The video, showing Kambli struggling to walk and needing assistance from bystanders, has shocked fans and raised alarm over his deteriorating health.

The authenticity and timing of the video remain unverified, yet the footage clearly depicts Kambli in a disoriented state, struggling to maintain balance until passersby step in to help him off the road.

This incident has brought renewed attention to Kambli's longstanding health issues.

Kambli's health challenges are not new. In 2013, he suffered a heart attack while driving in Mumbai, necessitating immediate medical intervention. The previous year, he had undergone an angioplasty to address two blocked arteries. These health complications have plagued him since he retired from professional cricket.

The video has sparked a wave of concern and sympathy from fans on social media. Many have expressed their shock and sorrow, sending their best wishes for Kambli's recovery.

There is also a growing call for Sachin Tendulkar, Kambli's childhood friend, to step in and offer support.

Kambli and Tendulkar's friendship is well-documented, with the two having shared numerous memorable moments on and off the cricket field. However, their relationship hit a rough patch when Kambli publicly accused Tendulkar of not supporting him during difficult times. Vinod Kambli's cricketing career, though not as illustrious as Tendulkar's, was marked by significant achievements. He played over 100 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 17 Test matches for India, amassing nearly 10,000 runs in First Class cricket and close to 6,500 runs in List A cricket.

His highest scores in these formats were 262 and 149 not out, respectively. Kambli also holds the record for the fastest Indian player to reach 1,000 runs in Test cricket, achieving this milestone in just 14 innings.
