The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed illegal and disposed of her release petition.
The court also received assurances from the attorney general for Pakistan that Sanam Javed will not face further arrests in any related cases.
Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb of the IHC heard the release petition of Sanam Javed. She appeared in the courtroom alongside her lawyers Mian Ashfaq and Ali Bukhari. Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan also attended the hearing in response to the court's notice.

During the proceedings, the attorney general stated that the Balochistan Police is not pursuing the plea for a transit remand, affirming that Sanam Javed is now free to return to her province and will not be arrested in any further case.
Justice Aurangzeb, addressing the petitioner's counsel, mentioned that he had seen inappropriate language used by Sanam Javed on social media. He sought an assurance from the lawyer whether Javed would refrain from using such language in the future.
Lawyer Mian Ashfaq assured the court that Sanam Javed would not use inappropriate words going forward.

Earlier this week, the Islamabad High Court had put a stop to the arrest of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist until Thursday, giving her the go-ahead to return home. The decision was announced during a hearing concerning her recovery, presided over by Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb.
The court ordered to submit the complete record of the PTI activist for the past year and delayed her arrest until Thursday. Justice Aurangzeb warned that if Ms Javed made any public statement during this time, the court would withdraw its order.
