Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged on Wednesday the Sindh government to prioritise solving people's problems over pursuing cases against Imran Khan.
Addressing a meeting of the PPP's Sindh parliamentary party, Bilawal stressed that the public is more concerned about their daily struggles than the legal battles of the former prime minister.
"The people want solutions to their problems, not Imran Khan's cases," Bilawal said. "We must focus on our work to meet their expectations."
He directed the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, to hold regular meetings to review the performance of the cabinet and to be more stringent in holding ministers accountable.
Bilawal also stressed the need for ministers to be punctual and for assembly members to be more active in their duties.
The PPP chairman highlighted the party's 5-year plan to improve the economy and public issues, prioritizing the convenience of workers and the general public.
He cited the Peoples Bus Service as an example of the party's focus on delivering results despite limited resources.
Bilawal also addressed the issue of law and order, attributing the proliferation of modern weapons among criminals to state policy. He called for an end to the politics of transfer postings in the police and expressed confidence in the Sindh Police, promising to appoint officers on merit.
