Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman vehemently criticised the outcome of the 2024 elections, alleging widespread rigging and the ascent of what he termed "fake representatives" to power.
Speaking at a public gathering in Pashin, Maulana Fazlur Rehman accused the establishment of orchestrating a systematic campaign to undermine democracy and manipulate the electoral process.
Expressing his concerns, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated, "Shameful rigging was done in 2024, and fake representatives were brought to power. We will not tolerate this assault on democracy and the constitution. If the establishment continues to trample upon the foundations of our democracy, we are prepared to resist."
The JUI chief alleged that money exchanged hands to secure victories against his party, questioning the integrity of the electoral process. "Money was taken from politicians to defeat JUI. Let it be known, how much was the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh Assembly bought for? Fake rulers will not be allowed to rule," he asserted.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also raised concerns about the perceived intentions of the establishment towards madrasas, emphasising their significance in protecting Pakistan's identity.
"The establishment is contemplating abolishing madrasas, but these institutions are the bastions of Islam and have contributed significantly to the fabric of our society," he remarked.
Furthermore, Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed gratitude towards the people for their support in the election, pledging to honour their trust. "I thank the people for supporting me in the election, and I assure you that I will fulfil the trust you have placed in me," he affirmed.
