Furthermore, the court has addressed environmental concerns by ordering the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) to present a final plan for a cleanliness campaign involving school and college students. The court order also quotes the government counsel as saying that power connections to tyre-burning units have been suspended in a decisive action against environmental violations. All staff associated with these violating units have been instructed to comply with this directive promptly.
Moreover, the Lahore High Court has directed Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) officials to cease tree-cutting activities and to inform the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) prior to any tree felling.
