Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Asif said on Wednesday that President Arif Alvi should be tried under Article 6.
Expressing his thoughts, the former defence minister said: "It is on these two occasions that the constitution has been violated. The president is not agreeing with the institution."
"There is no need to disagree with the institutions," he said.
Asif said: "The power structure of the country should find solutions to the problems."
He said: “Gen. Bajwa and Faiz Hameed used to get the legislation done from us.”
“It is the responsibility of everybody to think for the sake of the country,” he added.
