Sources familiar with the matter revealed that the federal government sanctioned the addition of 35 names to the ECL due to their involvement in corruption, criminal activities, and causing financial harm to the national treasury. Additionally, individuals who have departed from government institutions and are currently evading legal proceedings have also been included in the list.
The approval for the inclusion of these names was obtained through the circulation of a summary by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the federal cabinet.
