ISLAMABAD: Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has disclosed that Baloch militant leader Brahamdagh Bugti was using an Afghan passport in the name of Ibraheem.

In a message on micro-blogging website Twitter, Asif said that Bugti also had an Indian visa on his passport.

He said that Bugti, whose application for political asylum in Switzerland got rejected, was now seeking asylum in India.

“We are blessed with good neighbours,” Asif wrote, taking a swipe at both India and Afghanistan.

“Brahmdagh Bugti has Afghan passport in name of Ibraheem, w. an Indian visa, & now seeks asylum in India,” he tweeted.

Earlier this week, Indian media reported that Bugti was formally seeking asylum in India after his application was rejected by Switzerland.  – SAMAA
