Trader’s murder: Karachi electronics markets to remain shut on Monday

KARACHI: Traders of Karachi have announced to shut down markets on Monday in protest against murder of their senior leader, Muhammad Irfan, who died on Sunday after being injured in a gun attack, SAMAA reported.

Trader and former president of Karachi Electronic Dealers Association, Muhammad Irfan, succumbed to injuries in a local hospital on Sunday. He was shot by unknown assailants on Thursday.

All electronics markets in the city, including Sadar Market and Regal Chowk markets, would remain closed in protest against the attack, President of the association, Muhammad Idrees Memon said.

Muhammad Irfan’s funeral prayers will be offered today (Monday) in North Nazimabad’s Tayba Mosque after zohr prayer.  – SAMAA
