KARACHI: Six people, including a former lawmaker, were killed in separate incidents of firing and violence in Karachi on Saturday, SAMAA reports.
Unknown gunmen targeted Malik Atta, former member of Sindh Assembly, outside a hotel at Mehmoodabad, killing him on the spot. Two suspects were reportedly arrested following the attack.
The victim was a member of Ahmadi group.
One person was murdered near Al-Asif Square in Sohrab Goth. Two groups clashed in Malir, killing one person, Munawar and injuring another person.
According to reports, 30-year-old Shahid was gunned down at Dhobi Ghat in Garden area.
Two sack-packed dead bodies were found dumped near Bagh Halar in Garden.
Meanwhile, SSP Farooq Awan said that two extortionists, identified as Asif and Tahir, were apprehended in Karachi. SAMAA
