COLOMBO: Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels hit sparkling fifties as West Indies scored 191 runs against Australia in a Group B match of the Twenty20 World Cup at R Premadasa Stadiumin Colombo on Saturday.
Gayle hit four sixes and five fours to make 54 off 33 balls while Samuels struck four sixes and three fours in his 50, which took only 32 balls.
Mitchell Starc bagged three wickets for 35 in his four overs for Australia. Shane Watson took two wickets.
West Indies won the toss and chose to bat first.
