Pak women cricket team beat SL in warm-up match

COLOMBO: With brilliant all-round performance by Asmavia Iqbal, Pakistan women cricket team beat Sri Lanka by four wickets in a warm-up match before the World Cup here on Saturday.

Pakistan captain Sana Mir won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Sri Lankan team could only make 77 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Shashikala Siriwardene remained highest scorer, she made 38 runs. Iqbal took four wickets from Pakistan’s side.

Pakistan chased the required total in 18th over. Iqbal made 13 while Mir 18.

The World Cup will start from September 26th. SAMAA
