Notification issued for tomorrow’s Yaum Ishq-e-Rasool

ISLAMABAD: Federal government issued a notification regarding the public holiday announced for tomorrow (Friday) to mark Yaum-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (S.A.W.W.) as a protest against blasphemous anti-Islam film, SAMAA reported on Thursday.

It should be mentioned that Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, presiding over a federal cabinet session yesterday, announced public holiday to observe Yaum Ishq-e-Rasool (Deep Love for the Holy Prophet Day) across the country.

He appealed to the masses to peacefully register their protest against the sacrilegious film tomorrow.

Traders, transport associations and Petrol Filling Stations’ Associations and CNG Associations also announced to close their businesses.

Meantime, transport associations in all big cities including Karachi and Lahore have announced to keep public transport off roads.

According to Karachi Traders Action Committee and Electronics Dealers Association, around 50 big and small markets and business centers including Saddar, Bohri bazaar, Boltan Market, Medicine Market, Tariq road, Liaquatabad will remain closed tomorrow. –SAMAA
