RAWALPINDI: Six persons including four brothers were shot dead over an old property dispute in Rawalpindi, SAMAA reported on Friday.
According to details rendered by the eye witnesses, Waheed Qureshi and Ibrar Qureshi had an old enmity over property dispute.
A meeting of Jirga (local reconciliation committee) was underway this day to settle the dispute between both rivals. Suddenly Waheed Qureshi turned angry after an argument during the meeting and opend indiscriminate firing on opponents.
Six persons including four brothers, who came from Kuwait to Pakistan to celebrate Eid with family, died on the spot. Amongst the firing victim brothers were included Salman, Junaid, Aurangzeb and Parvez Qureshi.
The Civil Line Police Station has filed a case under sections of murder and terrorism against 14 accused. Police have captures eight nominated offenders and launched raids to arrest the remaining six.
After postmortem, all dead bodies were handed over to the heirs, who buried them amid grief and cries in local graveyard. SAMAA
