LAHORE: The early morning downpours lashed the city and its suburbs, inundating the low-lying areas and roads around the metropolis, SAMAA reports Friday.

According to Meteorological Department, the city has hitherto received 42 millimeters of rains with 10mm recorded in the Airport area.

The early morning showers brought about pleasing weather in the city; however, the second driving downpours during the current rainy, seasons plunged several roads submerged under water.

The water-locked Ferozpur Road, Jail Road and Canal Road witnessed the worst gridlocks.

Meantime, the meteorological department forecast more showers in northern and central Punjab including Lahore during next 12 hours. SAMAA
