LONDON: Pakistan on Thursday beat South Korea 3-2 in the Olympic men's field hockey tournament, securing seventh position in the tournament, SAMAA reports.
Abdul Haseem Khan, Muhammad Qaqas and Muhammad Imran scored the goals for their side after South Koreans opened the scoring with two goals in the first half.
Pakistan were annihilated 7-0 by world champions Australia in their last pool match on Tuesday to bow out from the medal race. It was greenshirts’ worst ever Olympic defeat. -- SAMAA
