LONDON: Pakistan’s last hope for an Olympics medal ended with sprinter Rabia Ashiq’s defeat on Wednesday.
Eight athletes took part in women’s 800 meters preliminary round race.
Out of them, one runner withdrew in the middle, leaving Rabia sixth on the table. She completed the distance in 2.17 minutes.
Rabia is the fifth Pakistani athletes to bow out of the London Olympics.
Anam Pandey, Israr Hussain, Liaquat Ali and shooter Khurram Inam are already out of the Olympics. SAMAA
