PM Raja calls on President Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Parvez Ashraf Raja called on President Asif Ali Zardari today, SAMAA reported on Friday.

According to sources, PM Raja met the President at the Presidency this evening to exchange views over new development after cancellation of Contempt of Court Bill-2012, by the Supreme Court, and other issues.

Both leaders discussed over new situation, developed after Supreme Court’s verdict against new Contempt of Court Bill-2012, and agenda of meeting with the all parties.

Earlier today, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has declared new Contempt of Court Bill-2012 null and void and said that it was an effort to control the judiciary with a an unconstitutional law but no contempt of court law can undermine position of the judiciary.

After today’s verdict of the Supreme Court, the overall political situation has changed in the country and now it is expected that the President and PM Raja will take important decisions in meeting with ally parties for future. SAMAA
