ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Thursday telephoned Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and assured government’s full support in resolution of political issues, SAMAA reports.
According to a statement issued by the PM House, Raja Pervez rang up the opposition leader and “appreciated his role as opposition leader”.
It said the PM extended his full support to PML-N’s Chaudhry Nisar, assuring him of government’s cooperation for resolution of political issues through “dialogue and reconciliation”.
The move came a day after PML-N’s Khawaja Asif accused ruling PPP’s archrival, Imran Khan, of gambling $1.8 million zakat money in real estate abroad. Khan denied the charge. -- SAMAA
