QUETTA: At least five persons including two policemen have been reported shot dead within one hour in different parts of Quetta at late hours of Sunday night.
According to police, some unknown armed attackers opened fire at two policemen, performing guard duty, outside Jamia Mosque during Tarawih prayers, leaving one policeman, Muhammad Sadiq dead on the spot and the other, Muhammad Asif, critically hurt.
The injured policeman was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to injuries. Both deceased policemen’s bodies were moved to Civil Hospital of Quetta.
Prior to this shooting incident, some unidentified attackers opened fire on two persons sitting outside their house at Podgulli Chowk area on Sabzal Road in Quetta. One person, Jalauddin, died on the spot while his guest, Mujeebullah, sustained serious bullet injuries.
The dead body and injured were moved immediately to Bolan Medical Complex in Quetta, where Mujeebullah succumbed to injuries. The police have termed both incidents of firings as target killings’ incidents.
The third incident took place near Farooq Mills, within same hour, where armed robbers killed a shop keeper on resistance and fled away after snatching the cash. SAMAA
