KARACHI: At least eight more people, two women among them, were killed on Sunday during the ongoing violence in the city, SAMAA reports.
Three members of a family were murdered as result of a dispute in Karachi’s Korangi area, police said.
They said some armed men barged into a house at the iftar time and opened fire on family members, killing a man, his wife and a relative of them, and injuring two others.
The deceased were identified as Salem, Rashida and Zeshan. Police cited personal enmity as reason behind the assassinations.
At least three persons, including a woman, were gunned down in different areas of the city on Sunday.
A tortured body of a youth was found from furniture market within the remits of Arambagh police station.
A 36-year-old man, Hayat Khan, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Orangi Town.
In a separate incident, a 30-year-old woman, Hasina, was killed in firing incident in Surjani Town’s Khuda Ki Basti colony. Her husband and two other people were injured in the incident.
A man was shot dead on a shop in Malir on Sunday. -- SAMAA
