Gujranwala’s burnt teenage girl dies in Lahore

Staff Report

LAHORE: A sixteen-year-old girl, Beenish, who was burnt by his brother yesterday in Gujranwala over a marriage issue, died in Mayo Hospital here on Saturday.

According to doctors, 70% of her body was burnt and all efforts were done to save her life but she could not survive.

Uncle of the girl said that she tried self-immolation and not burnt by brother or anyone else.

Police said that she attempted self immolation and committed suicide. SAMAA
