ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervez Elahi and PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday night and discussed energy crisis in the country, Presidential Spokesman Farhatullah Babar said.

However, sources said army chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani also joined the talks and discussed signing of Pak-US MoU on NATO supply line with President and the Prime Minister.

Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh was also present during the meeting.

“Current energy situation in the county and the ways and means to address the power issues were discussed during the meeting,” Babar said in a statement.
