Gujranwala traders protest against power outages

Staff Report

GUJRANWALA: Traders of the city staged violent protests against long power outages on Tuesday.

The traders burnt tyres and chanted slogans against the government.

The protesters said that they were compelled to stage the protest as long and unscheduled power load shedding had turned their lives bitter.

They said that even during Sehr and Iftar there is no power supply.

They blocked the road for some three hours which caused traffic jam. SAMAA
