ISLAMABAD: The Contempt of Court Amended Bill 2012 has been challenged in the Supreme Court (SC), SAMAA reports Thursday.
The petition filed by Hamid Khan Advocate states that new law stands in clash with the Articles-204/2-A and 175 of the Constitution. The petition made the federal government a party to the case.
The new law of contempt of court is a stratagem by the sitting government to put in abeyance the judicial proceedings intended to bring into existence a new privileged class. SAMAA
